Good Beginnings would like to recognise the generous support of the Collins Foods Group.

Last year the staff and management at Collins Foods Group kicked off their support of Good Beginnings by passing up their usual Christmas party, with the funds instead going to support Good Beginnings and four other charities.

Since then the Collins Foods Group that operates 117 KFC restaurants in QLD and 26 Sizzler restaurants in Australia, has introduced payroll giving where employees choose to donate a part of their weekly wage to support Good Beginnings and other charities. This has been embraced by the mostly young workers, many in their first job. In some restaurants there is 60, 70 and even 80% participation.

Kevin Perkins, Collins Foods Group CEO said ‘we are enormously proud of the effort everyone has made to make this initiative a success’ he said ‘we have had to keep adjusting our goals up, we have already more than doubled what we had hoped to achieve in the first year’.

Whilst matching employees donations dollar for dollar Collins Foods Group is keen to grow the support they serve up to the community. Later this month collection boxes will be on the counter of every one of their restaurants, encouraging their customers to donate too.

A big thank you to everyone at Collins Foods Group for your support.
